FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHER: Hector Oropeza
This post is about flowers. I love flowers, it’s such a cliché I know, but I do love them. There’s something about a bouquet of roses that just makes me smile. Perhaps it’s because my dad used to bring my mom roses all the time, and she was always so happy about it.
This type of rose – blush, pale, dusty pink rose – is my favorite kind. I love roses because they’re beautiful, delicate, and a timeless symbol of love, but they’re also wild and free. Once you cut them their beauty becomes ephemeral, but that doesn’t make them less meaningful.
Sometimes I wish roses could last forever, but that’s just a dream. People say you should fight for your dreams, and work hard to make them a reality. However, if you think about it, if everybody were to get everything they ever wanted, they would stop trying, because, what’s the point? Sometimes you try and try, and at the end it’s just not meant to be, but how do you know? how can you be sure? So, since you never really know, enjoy the rose while it’s beautiful, delicate and lovely. And at the end, if it’s not meant to be, just be happy you ever had it, and let it go.
Like I said, this post is about flowers.
P.S. Kindest regards to Hector for this wonderful photoshoot. It was magical. Always a pleasure working with you.
